Patient Details
This is a 57 year old mother of five children who previously had breast augmentation ten years previously with 345cc silicone gel implants placed in subpectoral pockets. She had developed drooping of the breasts as well as animation of the breasts which she wished to correct. She also reports that the right breast implant always remained higher than the left one. She wished to have correction of these problems and also have larger implants. She also wished to have body contouring by abdominoplasty, liposuction of the flanks, and improvement of a depressed old surgical scar of the left flank.
She underwent bilateral explantation of her old breast implants and secondary augmentation with 425cc Motiva implants. Subfascial neopockets were developed to correct the animation deformities and to correct the waterfall deformities of the breasts, making breast lift surgery unnecessary. Galaflex mesh soft tissue support was used bilaterally. She also underwent liposuction of the flanks, left flanks scar revision, and full abdominoplasty. She is shown before surgery and only three weeks post-op.
